6/30/2017 0 Comments Swollfest Fishing RodeoCurrently working as a professional dentist for the Aesthetic Dentistry Group in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Dr Nicholas “Nick” Rauber has been practicing dentistry for over 10 years. Nicholas “Nick” Rauber, DDS, is also a member of several professional organizations as well as being the founder and director of Swollfest. Created as a nonprofit organization for the purpose of raising money for needy organizations like the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the American Diabetes Association, Swollfest was established in 1997 as a local fishing tournament in Grand Isle, Louisiana. Proclaimed as a fishing rodeo, the event includes competitions for a variety of areas such as best boat, overall kayak champion, and overall Swollest fish. The fishing rodeo uses a point system to establish the overall winners. The Swollfest Fishing Rodeo includes offshore and inshore divisions as well as a deep drop division and a kayak division. The rodeo also features a women’s division and a children’s division for ages 12 and under.
